in the last few weeks, i have noticed in (jw.org) the nwt has had new releases in some local languages.. today, i read this: "the new world translation of the christian greek scriptures was released in the kabiye language on december 16, 2018, in kara, togo.
on the same day, in madrid, spain, the books of matthew and john from the new world translation were released in spanish sign language.
the new world translation has been translated in whole or in part into 178 languages.".
Ah! it is Kabiye after all, so obscure is this tongue that it was hard to find mention of it on the internet (or my Google was not playing ball).This is a secondary language after French and is spoken by nearly 1 million impoverished and youthful souls in Togo in tropical West Africa. (You did say Togo wonderment) So it's not Algerian Kabyle nor the Ghanaian ghost Kabiwe.
But JW org: like everything you have ever done-- it is a waste of time and effort.

This is just what five million North Eastern Algerians have been gagging for. But the thing we are all in need of now is the sign language version in the Kabyle language!
Of course no body needs or desires to have the JW Bible in these Muslim lands in the first place and the preaching there is done underground. So what a fat lot of wasted time effort and money by the JW org!
This would not be the case if the message they preach were true--but it aint!
I guess that the projects were started when the org still some hope of new recruits in obscure places.I also cynically guess that money was to be had from all sorts of organisations to translate any organisation's texts into particular languages.
do today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.
Morph, sadly it is a JW trait to believe you are always right. In the real world there is nearly always a case for different perspectives.

in november, the ventura county district attorney’s office filed multiple felony sexual abuse charges against abbott, including two counts of continuous sexual abuse, one count of lewd acts upon a child and one count of forcible lewd acts upon a child.. he is also facing multiple felony enhancements and special allegations related to his charges.. the investigation began in september, when the sheriff’s agency received a report of suspected child crimes.. a 16-year-old victim alleged that she was sexually abused by abbott when she was between the ages of 5 and 11, sheriff’s officials said.. sexual assault unit detectives subsequently identified a second, 24-year-old victim who reported that abbott had abused her when she was between the ages of 3 and 7, authorities said.. the sheriff’s agency said the victims and their families had come into contact with abbott through the kingdom hall of jehovah’s witnesses in newbury park.. investigators submitted their findings to prosecutors, who filed felony sexual abuse charges against abbot on nov. 16, officials said.. on nov. 28, an arrest warrant was issued for abbott.. the suspect was eventually arrested at his home on dec. 6 and booked into ventura county jail.
Good point Birdie regarding JWs recruiting paedophile prisoners. The JWs will applaud the miraculous "conversion" of the criminal and praise Jerhoover, ignoring the fact that with child abusers, a repetition of the offence is likely --this time inside the congregation.

a while back i read about a novel that i understood was published by wt and there was some sort of connection with da judge.. i remember i found it online and was going to look through it but never got the chance.. now i can't find it and for the life of me i can't remember the name of it or the author.. unfortunately, google isn't helping.. it was about life before the flood.. anyone able to help?.

If JW meetings are targeted by paedophiles, a consequence would be that some of them, enjoying the welcome and numbers of victims present, will also be joining the org-- which seems to be the case.
A response from the GB could be yet a further excuse to finish with KH meetings altogether. (I imagine that the book study in private homes must have led to too much intimacy among believers?)
"So the way forward brothers is with TV broadcasting". This would allow collecting an enormous sum from the sale of the halls and it would be explained away with some scripture or other to the satisfaction of all the flock-- who are duty bound to believe whatever they are told.
It's a win-win situation. The GB would get their hands on the money and the rest of the organisation rots on the vine.

Yes they are all as thick as thieves and have blind loyalty in their DNA so how could any one of them defect?
As a financial strategy only one of them, the first one and only he, would be able to spill the beans and get a financial reward by a block buster book revealing the nasty cult just before it sinks below the horizon in the 21st century. This could be done to great applause and respect from the ever growing army of ex-JWs.

i came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.
i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.
my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.
Cyber hugs to you Leeny. How can a religion be right which condemns a person not only for having their own thoughts on things but condemns a person for being themselves? Heterosexuals in the past and the stupid Bible have a lot to answer for.
So don't worry about being wrong, you are not wrong it is the JW cult that is very wrong on virtually everything! Most of us here have found that choosing and taking our own path in life is a liberating experience. It does take courage at first (because of the fear instilled) and we need determination to succeed but by being with sensible non JWs we can eventually get to where we want to be.
I would say that if you can find your own place away from your parents as well as away from the congregation, you might still be able to fade. If they denounce you from the platform you will (like me) be considered an apostate. Ultimately; so what! It's your life-- Jehovah's Witnesses are a pathetic cult which steals lives, the ball is in your court and nobody can stop you choosing what you want to do.
